With the WOC 2008 just around the corner, we are
pleased to provide the following information that is important
to your participation at the Congress. You are advised to
review the information carefully to ensure you have an expedite
entry to Hong Kong and make your stay in the beautiful city of Hong
Kong a pleasant and with fond memorable
one.

Registration |
| |
- The registration counters are located at
the Convention Foyer of the HKCEC. The counters
are categorized as Pre-registration; Speakers; and
Onsite registration counters respectively. Speakers registration
counter is exclusively for the use of Speakers unless specified
by onsite staff.
- Registration counters will be in
service from 1200 hrs, Friday, June 27
- Pre-registered delegates (without delegate
badges) are required to present his/her confirmation letters
with personalized barcode to the Speakers' registration
counter for delegate badge collection.
- All Speakers can register at the Speakers
registration counter. Pre-registered Speakers are required to
present his/her confirmation letters with personalized
barcode to the Speaker registration counter for delegate badge
collection.

Subspecialty Day Program |
|
- The Subspecialty Day Program offers an excellent series of
sessions on Cataract & Refractive Surgery; Glaucoma; and
Retina. Online registration remains open until 2359 hour on
Sunday, June 15, 2008. Online registration rate is at USD 50.
- A three-letter code will be printed at the
bottom right hand corner of the name badge(s) for delegates
who have pre-registered to the Subspecialty Day Program.
- Pre-registered delegates, who have registered for the
Subspecialty Day Program but without the three-letter code printed
on the badges, can collect the Subspecialty Day label at the
Pre-registration counter by showing their name badges.
- Pre-registered delegates who have not registered for
the Subspecialty Day Program can still register for the Program
onsite at the registration counter.

Delegate Bag
Collection |
|
- Delegate bag can be collected from the
Organizer Booth (M37) in Hall 5 (exhibition hall) from 0800 hour
on Saturday, June 28, 2008.
- Delegates with delegate badges can collect
their delegate bags at the registration counter from 12:00 - 18:00
hour on Friday, June 27, 2008. Delegate bags cannot be
collected from registration counter after 18:00 hour on
June 27, 2008.
- Accompanying persons are not entitled to
delegate bags.

Ribbon Collection (if
appropriate) |
|
- All ribbons can be collected at the Service Counter from 08:00
hrs on Saturday, June 28, 2008. The Service Counter is
located at the Mezzanine Floor of the HKCEC.
- Delegates with delegate badges or confirmation letters can
also collect their ribbon(s) at the ribbon counter located at
ground floor of the HKCEC that is next to the cloak room. The
counter will be in service from 12:00 hrs
on Saturday, June 27, 2008.

Payment and
Refund |
|
- For cash transaction, only Hong Kong and US
currencies are accepted for onsite payment.
- For credit card transaction, only Hong Kong
currency is accepted for onsite payment. VISA, Master and AE Cards
are accepted.
- All refund will be handled at the Cashier Office
located at room V4 at the Convention Foyer.
- All delegates entitled to onsite cash refund will
receive a personalized Refund Confirmation shortly.
- Please apply in person at Cashier Office
with your passport and the refund confirmation. Application
without the aforesaid documents will not be processed.

Arrival Reception,
Transportation & Hotel Accommodation |

- Two special immigration counters are designated for the WOC
2008 delegates at the south and north concourse of arrival hall at
the Hong Kong International Airport on June 27 & 28, 2008.
Delegates are required to present their delegate badges or
confirmation letters to the Immigration Officer(s) on duty to
expedite the immigration procedure.
- A WOC 2008 Courtesy Desk is located at counter B13 of arrival
hall B. The Desk will be in service from 08:00 to 20:00
hour. Delegates may also approach the Hong Kong Tourism Board
counter for assistance before and after these hours.
- Complimentary coach transfer between airport and major hotels
will be provided to delegates who have arranged hotel rooms via
Kenfair Travel Ltd. Coach schedules can be obtained at the
Courtesy Desk.
- There will be shuttle buses running between the HKCEC and
major hotels during the Congress period. Shuttle bus running
schedules can be found at the WOC website.
- Delegates who have booked hotel accommodation through Kenfair
Travel Ltd should have received room confirmation by now. Please
contact Kenfair Travel Ltd directly at woc2008@kenfair.com for any
enquires regarding room reservation.

Speaker
Ready Room |
|
- The Speaker Ready Room is located in Hall 7A and will be
in service from Friday, June 27 at 16:00 hour.
- All speakers are advised to submit his/her power point
presentation via the internet at this link http://woc.sessionupload.com prior
to his/her departure to Hong Kong.
- For details, please refer to the Guidelines For Preparing
and Delivering Electronic Presentations (http://www.woc.woc2008hongkong.org/woc/index03_12.shtml)
- All speakers must check-in at the Speaker Ready Room in
Hall 7A at least 24 hours before his/her scheduled
presentations to avoid last minute rush, and allow ample time to
resolve compatibility issues, if any.

Opening
Ceremony |
|
- The Opening Ceremony of the WOC 2008 will
be held on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 11:00 hour in Hall 3
of the HKCEC. Mr. Donald Tsang, Chief Executive of the Hong
Kong Special Administrative Region Government will be present
to welcome delegates from over 100 countries and
territories.
- A number of spectacular
performances have been arranged for the Opening
Ceremony. Seating capacity in Hall 3 is
limited; delegates are thus advised to arrive to Hall 3
early on or before 10:45 hour on June 29, 2008.
