World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC) 2008 Hong Kong
Preparation Guidelines for Scientific Posters

I. General Considerations

You are recommended to condense the theme of your poster so that the observer may grasp its ideas including purpose, method, results and conclusion within a few minutes. Attendance session could be arranged by individual poster within the time and poster area allocated; and delegates can discuss with you during your scheduled attendance.

II. Preparing the Poster

Please see your confirmation letter for details of time and poster area allocated.

Layout: Follows the headings of Purpose, Method, Results, and Conclusion.

Size: Your poster should be designed to be placed on a poster board size 140 cm (H) x 95 cm (W) [4.59ft (H) x 3.12ft (W)] and is no larger than 130 cm (H) and 90 cm (W) [4.26ft (H) x 2.95ft (W)].
At the meeting, the Congress supplies the poster board and mounting pins and a sign (noting your poster number and a clock sign for you to indicate your attendance) to be placed on the top of the poster board. Titles and list of authors should be incorporated into the poster itself.

Tables: Tables accompanying posters should be simple and easy to interpret.

Illustrations: Simple graphic illustrations thoroughly labeled are important.
