    Registration

  1. When and where is the Congress taking place?
  2. Subspecialty Day: Jun 28, 2008 (Sat)
    Main Congress: afternoon, June 28, 2008 - July 2, 2008
    Meeting Venue: Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center

  3. How to register for the Congress?
  4. All delegates are encouraged to register for the Congress online. Upon completion of the online registration process (including payment), you will have a personal registration account with a unique barcode number assigned. Your registered Email will be your username.

  5. Can I change my registration details after I have registered, e.g. adding the numbers of accompany persons or registering for Subspecialty Day Programs?
  6. Yes. You can log in your account and select "Modify Details". On the page, you can edit any of your registration details except for your Email and your name. If the modification involves any new balance, you will be led to payment by pressing the button "Save Changes" on the page.

  7. Can I register for more than one Subspecialty Day Programs?
  8. Yes. You can. However, please be reminded that sessions are held concurrently on the subspecialty day.

  9. hen do I have to settle the payment? (Any deadline?)
  10. After you have filled out the registration form, you will be led to the page of payment gateway and you are required to settle the payment immediately.

  11. Do you accept online payment by credit card only? (Can I pay onsite? If so, by cash or travelers' cheque?)
  12. For online registration, only credit card (Master, Visa, Amercian Express) or AliPay payments are accepted.

  13. Can I cancel my registration online?
  14. No. To cancel your registration and receive a refund, a written request including your name, registered Email and your Barcode Number must be sent to Central Secretariat by Email (registration@woc2008hongkong.org). Cancellation requests received before Apr 30, 2008 will be honored. There will be a per-person and per-transaction cancellation administrative charge of USD$50 or the total amount of transaction, whichever is less. No refunds will be honored for cancellation requests received after the April 30, 2008. Refunds will be proceed only after the Congress.

  15. I am pre-registered for the Congress online, how to register onsite?
  16. Please print out the summary page / official confirmation letter with your barcode, and bring it along to the "pre-registration" counter for registration onsite.

  17. Do you accept online registration only?
  18. Yes, individual delegates are required to register online, and pay the registration fee by credit card (Master / Visa / Amercian Express).

  19. What if I forgot to bring the summary page of my registration?
  20. Please kindly login your account and print out the summary page with your barcode. Your registration barcode help facilitates onsite verification.

  21. The most common problem on online payment failure.
  22. "Payer Authentication Fails" is one of the most common problems. It is about the setting of your credit card security features. Our payment gateway supports "Verified by Visa" and "Master Card Security Code". Before proceeding to online payment process, please kindly visit Master Card / Visa Card to activate or check the security features of your credit card, or please kindly contact your card issuing bank if encounter any further problems.     Exhibition

  1. Could we select booth location in my application?
  2. You could select the booth location Zones A / B / C but you could not select the exact location of the booths. The organizer will propose the booth location to you for your approval.

  3. When should I settle the payment?
  4. Once you accept the proposed booth location, the organizer will issue the invoice for you to inform you the payment of deposit and the deadline of payment.

  5. How could I book the hotel?
  6. The hotel booking for delegates and exhibitors has been opened since October 1, 2007. Exhibitors could request the organizer to provide a hotel booking form for hotel booking. The organizer will also attach the hotel booking form in the exhibitor's manual to be distributed for exhibitors.

  7. Could I build the booth by our own contractors?
  8. Exhibitors reserved 4 booths of 9 sqm or more are eligible to build their booths by their own contractor. The proposed designs are subject to approval of the organizer. Exhibitors reserved less than 4 booths could request the official contractor for booth modification. Exhibitors should bear the modification fee by themselves.

  9. What is the maximum booth height if we could construct booth by ourselves?
  10. The maximum height for booth construction is 7 meters. For the booths under the fire curtain, the maximum height is 2.5 meter.

  11. How many exhibitor badges could I obtain?
  12. Each 9 sqm / 6 sqm booth will be provided 2 exhibitor badges. Exhibitors could apply for additional badges at extra charges.

  13. How could our workers enter the exhibition venue during move-in and move-out?
  14. Exhibitors could request workers' passes from the organizers for their contractors, couriers etc to enter the venue in the move-in day and move-out day.

  15. How could I send my samples to Hong Kong?
  16. Exhibitors could contact the official freight forwarder to assist in delivering their samples to Hong Kong. The official freight forwarder could also apply import license on behalf of exhibitors if import license is required for the product samples imported into Hong Kong.

  17. Is there any VAT / import tax required for the delivery of samples to Hong Kong?
  18. There is no VAT / import tax required for all products except tobacco and liquor in Hong Kong.

  19. How could I order the additional furniture / electricity supply / AVIT equipment?
  20. Exhibitors will be sent the exhibitors' manual which will include exhibition regulations, important dates and order forms for different kind of facilities and services. The exhibitors' manual will be available in February 2008. It could also be downloaded in the WOC website.

  21. Could we serve snacks / beverage in our booth for our visitors?
  22. The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre prohibits bring-in food and beverage into exhibition hall. However, you may propose your plan of serving F&B for the organizer and HKCEC's approval.
